I am a great enthusiast of fine wine, beer, and liquor. This is created mostly for my benefit, to remember the truly spectacular successes or failures of my alcoholic beverage consumption. Perhaps it will be of use to you, as well. It will be overwhelmingly wine reviews, specifically inexpensive, affordable wines, since I am poor. But whenever I get a new bottle of scotch whisky, I will be sure to include it. Basically every time I drink something new, I will have comments.

Ratings will be done on a five point scale:
5: extraordinary. exceptional. can't imagine anybody not enjoying it.
4: very good. exemplifies all traits of the style. a treat to the enthusiast.
3: good. a fine presentation of a style. the price is right. no major flaws.
2: acceptable. drinkable. perhaps good only as a mixer. perhaps only good for the money.
1: bad. major flaws. overly priced, exceedingly inelegant, hideous taste. avoid.

plus an additional:
0: terrible. a waste of money. never condescend to touch the bottle. nothing redeeming.

Price will be considered as a part of rating. If something is frankly outstanding, but its price is too high, it will be degraded appropriately. Because of high variation in local taxes, location will also be considered. Something $50 in one place may be $80 in another. Beware of gouging.

I'll go through the name of the product or label that the vineyard is using (some producers use different labels for different vineyards or different quality of product), the type of wine or spirit it is (or the type of grapes used, if wine), the source of the grapes (or in the case of many parts of Europe, where regions are legally controlled, the appellation), the year produced (if relevant), what I paid, where I got it, how I'd rate it, and anything I have to say about it (and I am a windbag).
